If you’re asking those questions then worry not because that’ll be our topic for today!

Let’s start!

1. Avatar : one of the highest-grossing films of all time

Fun Facts:

  • James Cameron wrote this since 1994
  • Avatar is one of the most expensive films that was made of all time
  • It took 4 years to make this movie

But… is it deserving to be in the Top 1?

My answer? For me, it’s yes! Avatar is deserving to be at the Top. This movie is 2 hours and 40 minutes long. Although I am not a super fan of sci-fi, this movie exceeds almost anyone’s expectations and did entertain me even for a bit. The hard work and dedication that James Cameron, the actors and actresses, and the staff put into it are on another level and we must all acknowledge it.

2. Avengers: Endgame

Avengers Endgame

Avengers Endgame once peaked at number 1 and is now at number 2. It has a worldwide gross of $2,797,501,328! It was released way back in 2019 and has an 8.4/10 with over 1 million IMDB users while still having 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.

This movie is 3 hours and 2 minutes long. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo with a budget of $356-400 million. It was distributed by Walt Disney Motion Pictures.

Fun Facts:

  • This is the first film to earn over $1 billion in its first week
  • To keep the secrets hidden, only Robert Downey Jr. got the full script
  • The trailer came from the first 20 minutes of the movie
  • Brie Larson filmed all of her scenes in Endgame before the production of Captain Marvel started

This movie has a special place in my heart. The way the story unfolds, the plot twists, the action scenes, almost everything was perfect. The only problem is that some characters lack screentime but well, it is understandable since there are a lot of characters inside the MCU. All in all, I strongly believe that Avengers: Endgame is deserving to be in this position!

Titanic

3. Titanic

Titanic peaked at #1 before for long years and is now on the rank 9 that grossed at $2,187,535,296 that was released way back in 1997. It is rated as 7.9/10 on IMDB with over 1 million users and 87% on Rotten Tomatoes!

  • Kate Winslet almost drowns in one of the scenes
  • The footage of the Titanic ship underwater is real
  • The line “I’m the King of the World” was not in the script and was just improvised by Leonardo DiCaprio

A 3 hour and 14 minutes long, this movie is a romance-drama, epic film with a touch of action-packed that can enjoy by almost everyone of any age. Titanic is deserving to be in this position of being at one of the tops. Almost all countries know this movie. It is a masterpiece and will never get old! It is just one of the best- no explanations needed.

A 2 hour and 16 minutes long, this movie left a mark on everyone, especially sci-fi fans. As I said before, I am not a big fan of sci-fi (except for Avengers because it has a touch of fantasy which is one of my favorite genres) so this doesn’t get a hit on me. But even though, I still think that it is deserving to be on this list!

5. Avengers: Infinity War

Special Mention:

Spiderman No Way Home

Spiderman No Way Home

Spiderman No Way Home is the most hyped MCU movie ever after Endgame. It grossed $1,901,232,550 and still counting because some other countries are still playing this in cinemas as of July 2022. This was released in the year 2021 and is currently in rank number 6 of the highest-grossing film of all time with 8.3/10 rates on IMDB having over 600,000 users and 93% Rotten Tomatoes.

This movie is directed by Jon Watts and top-billed by Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Benedict Cumberbatch with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. This article is only about the top 5 highest grossing films of all time but No Way Home is ranked #6 but I still included it and the reason is that it is too beautiful to be left out of the top 5. Although all of those 5 movies above are deserving of their respective positions, I think Spiderman No Way Home is also deserving to be in the top 5. It is just a chef’s kiss. The moment that I got to see Tobey and Andrew, I screamed! They are my favorites. I just really love it! I can’t explain it in words!
